I’m often asked, “what’s the best age to get baby photos taken?“
Newborn photos are a perfect way to capture your brand new baby in all their wrinkly newness during the first 5-14 days, then the ideal time to get more done is at around 6-10 months when baby is so expressive and smiley. When they can sit unaided is the perfect time. This is called a ‘sitter’ session.
That’s not to say other ages are not suitable, but these are the points where you will see the most change in your baby and get a different end result from the photo shoots.
The cost for a sitter baby photo shoot starts at £250 and all packages include some digital images. The session takes around 2 hours in total. This takes place in your own home, so baby will feel relaxed in familiar surroundings.
